Popularity of imitation jewellery

Because of poor quality and rough finishing Imitation jewellery would hardly find any takers in the past. Advances in science and technology have also allowed for artificial jewellery to take large leaps in durability. They are finding and creating new forms of metals that are much more durable and cheaper that the metals they used to rely on in the past.

Distributors have been able to create agreements with wholesales who manufacture imitation jewelry as the main portion of their business plan. But then due to better quality of artificial jewellery there has been a great change in that scenario. The new imitation jewellery is looking stunning, and also has a very high quality to go along with it.

Cut of the stone

Firstly we talked about the cut of the stone. Now finding a good quality bright green tourmaline with this cut is not impossible to find but can be tricky so we decided that custom cutting was the way forward. We custom cut the green tourmaline from a larger cushion stone to create the look. We combined the chequer board facetted cut on top but with a more square proportioned shape rather than oval.

The lapidaries squared up the proportions and then facetted the top of the stone. This creating a square cushion shape with a facetted top! Donna felt a straight sided square stone would be a little harsh so decided that she would like to have the stone with softened corners. The initial stone was 1.72cts and ended up at 1.05ct. After being cut gemstone it is difficult. We searched for a green tourmaline of the right colour that could be cut to shape. The twist ring is simple in style holds the tourmaline for a modern design.

Colored diamonds are also available in the market

Pure diamonds are the diamonds that are typically on display at jewellery stores. Most people have at least a passing familiarity with what diamonds tend to look like. There are no impurities at all in the pure diamonds. Beautifully glistening and sparkling, the clear appearance of the gemstone is known as the stone of choice for wedding rings and engagement rings. Other types of diamonds are available in the market and they are colored diamonds.

There are no impurities at all in these diamonds, and the gemstones are colorless and transparent. To pieces that feature these luxurious colored diamonds and to great effect Designer jewellers apply their skill. What gives certain diamonds their color are actual impurities and defects to the structure of the stone which impede or help in light absorption, which causes certain colors to be seen by the human eye.
